Alena Ivanchenko seals the first gold medal of European Champs

The Russian rider won the Junior Women Individual Time Trial in 29:11:82. Second place for German Antonia Niedermaier, while the 2020 Junior Women European Champion, Elise Uijen, settled for third place
The first gold medal of the UEC Road European Championships-Trentino 2021 went to Russia. Alena Ivanchenko won the Junior Women Individual Time Trial, 22,4 km from the MUSE – Sciences Museum to Piazza delle Donne Lavoratrici in Trento. The Russian rider clocked a best time of 29:11:82, preceding German Antonia Niedermaier by 31 seconds. The 2020 European Junior Women Time Trial Champion, Elise Uijen of the Netherlands, stepped on the podium in third place with a gap of 53 seconds from the winner.
The new European Junior Women Time Trial Champion has reached a third prestigious title in a two-week span. After thew World Title won in the Points Race at the UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships in Cairo (Egypt) and the European Title in the same specialty at the Youth Track European Championships in Apeldoorn (Netherlands), Ivanchenko confirmed her top credentials by winning on the roads of Trento.
