New chart for the UEC Eurochamps “Trentino 2021” OC

Following the changes within the Trento, Monte Bondone and Valle dei Laghi Tourism Board, as Director Elda Verones moved to another assignment, the Organizing Committee of 2021 UEC European Road Championships scheduled in Trento from September 8th to 12th has decided to reassess the leading role position.

As a result, the decision was to appoint Maurizio Evangelista, a highly regarded professional with huge experience in international sport, as Managing Director of the event. While making a success of the Tour of the Alps’ Euro-regional stage race raised to a global scale up to UCI ProSeries event status in recent years, the new manager guarantees a solid know-how combined with local vision to take over and finalise the work already started.

Maurizio Evangelista assumed his role from June 1st. “I have received a complete and detailed update on the state-of-the-art from Elda Verones, to whom I warmly thank. The time available is short, but all the conditions are in place to successfully carry out this challenge – together with the Tourism Board, Trento Eventi Sport, Trentino Marketing, the Municipality of Trento and the UEC –  marking a key-moment for the restart of Trentino’s tourism after the hard times due to the pandemic”, the new organizational Director commented.
